A good way for a starter to make money is Money Printers, which you can buy from the F4 menu.Make sure to buy these in your base, and not within anyone's sight! Money Printing is illegal and people will report you. IT is the main focus of the gamemode, and whoever has the largest sum of money will most likely be the person with the most power. You will find that making money is a very essential part to DarkRP. If you’re a supplier job like Gun Dealer, or Drug Dealer, your best bet would be to buy a shop, but you can also buy a house and build it into a shop! Make sure when you buy a house that you buy ALL the doors, so no one else can buy them and get in. There are multiple houses to choose from, varying from suburban houses, where you can lone wolf and easily defend your base from raids, to large warehouses, where all your buddies can hang out.
If you didn’t choose a government job, you will most likely go and buy a house. If nothing is going on, patrol around town and make sure nothing fishy is going on, but don’t break any rules! The other is the Bank Vault, which slowly collects money over time, and can be raided, so you must protect the Bank Vault at all costs. The PD also contains two items, one is the Undercover NPC, which is meant for Undercover Cops, they can disguise as other jobs at this NPC. The PD is the home of all Government jobs, including the Mayor. If you chose a Government class, you should report to the PD. You choose how you want to play, but make sure to choose the correct job and read it to make sure you won’t break any rules. There are over 30 jobs to choose from, so you have a lot of choices! You can pick a class that steals, kills, and mugs, or one that supplies music or videos to the public. Once you spawn in, you should choose a job that you want. You may be a part of all this craziness, or you may be quietly sitting in your shop supplying the weapons needed to continue the mayhem! Ultimately, you choose how you want your character to be, and that’s what makes DarkRP fun! There’s gonna be muggings, kidnappings, raids, shootouts.

The premise of all these jobs is to simulate a roleplaying scenario where you are living in a dreary town full of crime and crazy things. You are able to own money printers, unless the job itself specifies. These jobs don’t get involved with raids, or any other general criminal activity.
Cinema Owner? Queue up some videos for your viewers, but don’t be basing with thieves! These jobs are considered working class, and should be treated as such. You are a Gun Dealer? Sell guns, but don’t go out and raid someone's base. Civilians can’t really do anything besides what they’re told to do. There are also jobs like DJ, or Cinema Owner, where you can control a Club, or Cinema. Most other classes, like Gun Dealer, Hobo, Pet, etc, are labeled under as Civilians. Government classes listen to the Mayor / Chief of the corresponding job. Along with the home, you also can’t own Money Printers, can’t raid, and other things criminals do. Government jobs live in the PD, where the mayor is located, if you are a government job, you can’t own a personal home. These jobs are meant to protect and serve as a normal Police Officer would do, you make arrests, call out warrants, make sure the everyone is following laws, etc. In Government, you’ll have jobs like S.W.A.T, Mayor, Police Chief, etc. Moving onto the other main category, Government, which is in general just the Mayor / Police Force. Though, all criminal jobs aren’t allowed to do the same things, like Thieves can raid, but can’t kidnap, while Kidnappers can’t raid, but only kidnap. Thieves are allowed to own Money Printers, Raid, Mug, within our server rules, while if you were a Civilian, or Government job, you would be breaking server rules and would be punished. There are two “main” job categories in DarkRP, which are Criminals, and Government.Ĭriminals, like a Thief, or Kidnapper, are jobs that are allowed to do illegal things without breaking rules (these could still be against the law), a good example being the job Thief. When you first spawn into the server, you will be a Citizen, which is just a normal job that can’t do anything special.
